Six turnovers, including a fumble returned 30 yards for a touchdown, were Eatonville's undoing. Royal, which won the 1A state title in 2005 and lost in the semifinals last year to eventual champion Meridian, jumped to a 14-0 lead.
Eatonville, a 2A school, closed to 14-9 early in the second quarter on a safety and Joe Patterson's ensuing 67-yard TD return with the free kick. Royal pushed a 21-16 halftime lead to 34-16 in the third quarter.
Royals QB Austin Allred threw three touchdown passes, two to Hector Ledezma. Daniel Kathman scored twice for Eatonville, a 1-yard run and 51-yard interception return.
