This is Jerry's first time in the gym with his camera... so these
are test photos basically for him
to see how its doing. I lightened them up and sharpened them in Picasa...
nothing else is changed
and these haven't been run thru the digital noise smoothing software. I
think with his lens set up
he will have to use the flash... no flash was used here... Jerry is my
son-in-law he's the guy that did
the aerial photos of the new French Field that a lot of you have as your
wallpaper on your computer.
Shooting inside a gym like KM's is difficult because of the yellow lighting...
that's why these have a lot of yellow
in the photos... he needs to work on setting the "White Balance"... so
none of us are perfect in taking
photos... its not as easy as it looks... his lens have an f-stop of f:4.0 to
f:5.5 in that range... I use
a lens of f2:8 for my photos of the same game... that allows a little more light
and lens speed combination.
Focus is a big problem with everyone... even the pro's have problems... that's
why with digital photography
you can take a bunch of photos and eventually cast out the bad ones... your not
paying for film... thank goodness.
Ok Jerry your off to a good start.... Jerry will be doing events at Todd Beamer
and Puyallup High schools... he
lives in Edgewood so he's right in the middle...
