Ok I found the missing photos I took Wednesday... from the Keg
Softball
Tournament in Federal Way. Kirkland and Kent both went in to
the finals
undefeated. Kirkland jumped off to a 9-0 lead after two
innings and
Kent tried to play catch up the rest of the game. Photos from

The Keg Restaurants are having their Puget Sound slow pitch softball
tournament
Tuesday and Wednesday at Celebration Park in Federal Way. The
Kent Keg won their first two games Tuesday beating Renton 17-15 and
Lynnwood 16-10, they
were playing Tacoma when I left. In the photo above that is
Kent's 3rd base
coach Mitch Erickson (Federal Way High) giving a jumping "High Five" to Tim McDade
(Enumclaw High)
after
McDade had blasted one over the left field fence against the wind in
the game against Lynnwood. Kent

Update: After spending about 3 hours at the Keg tonight
(Tuesday) The Kent Keg did defeat The Tacoma Keg 20-0... jeepers...
and Tim McDade (Enumclaw High) won the HR Derby... Kent is one of
the Top Seeds for the Championship Round on Wednesday... first game
at 11:00am.... Sandy and I will be there... Go Kent Keg!
Vashon defeated Cascade Christian and Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls)
knocked off Highland in the Cloud Nine Finals

... There were lots of teams in the Cloud 9 Hoops Tournament
this past weekend at Auburn Mountainview. 48 teams
were in this thing both boys and girls. Got to give
some good pats on the back to Boys Coach Jon Price and Girls
Coach Chris Carr for pulling it off. And I saw at
least two teams from the Spokane Area. The Riverside
Rams from Chattaroy which is North of Spokane and the
Lakeside Eagles of Nine Mile Falls just Northwest of
Spokane. That is quite a commitment from these
schools.
Rave ... After getting beat really bad by the B.C.
Spartans the King County Jaguars came back this weekend and
defeated the Valley Mustangs 42-zip at Auburn's Memorial
Stadium Saturday Night. Halfback Vernon Word had 123
yards rushing to lead the way.... next Jags game is against
the East County Blackshirts of Portland this Saturday 7-26
at French Field 7pm.
Rant ... In case you haven't heard... the former
Sonics are now the
Oklahoma City Thunder. I was hoping for
"Outlaws" or "Crooks"... Wonder what their Mascot will look
like? Hope it has lightening coming out its.... oh
never mind.
Rave .... I'm on better footing with the Seattle
Thunderbirds now... they actually got back with me and
hopefully we'll work out something where KVS can shoot and
post photos from some of their games.... that will be
fun....

Mariners' flawed lineup ruins a perfect day for baseball
